THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CLEVELAND HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING FOR URBAN AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  230 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

   ...CUYAHOGA COUNTY...GEAUGA COUNTY...LAKE COUNTY
 
AT 11 PM CLEVELAND DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW AREAS OF SHOWERS AND
POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORMS FROM JUST OFF SHORE OF CLEVELAND INLAND OVER
EASTERN CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND THROUGH PORTIONS OF GEAUGA AND LAKE
COUNTIES. THESE SHOWERS WERE LOCALLY HEAVY AND MOVING TO THE EAST AT
ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR. GROUND OVER THIS AREA IS ALREADY SATURATED FROM
PREVIOUS RAINFALL DURING THE LAST SEVERAL DAYS. AS MUCH AS 2 TO 4 INCHES
OF RAIN FELL TODAY OVER NORTHERN AND EASTERN CUYAHOGA...WESTERN LAKE AND
NORTHERN GEAUGA COUNTIES. STREAMS IN SOME OF THESE AREAS ARE ALREADY
RUNNING NEAR BANKFULL AND WON/T TAKE MUCH TO PUT THEM OUT OF THEIR
BANKS. EXTENSIVE PONDING OF WATER WILL LIKELY CAUSE FLOODING ON SOME
ROADWAYS OVER THE AREA.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH 2FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
