FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

AS OF 950 PM...AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN CONTINUED TO MOVE ACROSS EASTERN
MASSACHUSETTS AND PARTS OF SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE. RAINFALL TOTALS
ACROSS THIS REGION WERE IN EXCESS OF 3.5 INCHES. THIS RAINFALL HAS
CAUSED WIDESPREAD PONDING AND STREET FLOODING ACROSS THE AREA...AND HAS
CAUSED PROBLEMS WITH AT LEAST TWO DAMS IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS.
 
THE RAIN IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE NIGHT.  ANOTHER 1 TO 2
INCHES OF RAIN IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 8 PM TONIGHT AND 8 AM MONDAY MORNING.
THIS WILL BRING RAINFALL TOTALS IN THE WARNING AREA TO BETWEEN 4 AND
8 INCHES.  THUS...FLOODING PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE
NIGHT IN THIS WARNING AREA.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
