000 TTAA00 KDTX 082222 SVRAPN MIC007-082330- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI ISSUED BY DETROIT PONTIAC MI 622 PM EDT MON JUL 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN NORTHEAST LOWER MICHIGAN ...ALPENA COUNTY AND THE ADJACENT WATERS OF LAKE HURON AT 620 PM...RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHWEST ALPENA COUNTY MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. THE STORMS WILL REACH ALPENA BY 645 PM. LARGE HAIL AN INCH IN DIAMETER ALONG WITH DAMAGING WINDS UP TO 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS. WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING. DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.
