000 TTAA00 KAPN 082129 SVRAPN MIC119-082230- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI 530 PM EDT MON JUL 8 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GAYLORD HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN MICHIGAN ... MONTMORENCY COUNTY AT 523PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH LARGE HAIL OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN OTSEGO COUNTY. THE AREA WAS MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH AND WILL AFFECT ATLANTA AROUND 6PM. HAIL 3/4 INCH IN DIAMETER AND WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH ARE LIKELY WITH THIS AREA OF STORMS. NUMEROUS REPORTS OF HAIL 1 INCH IN DIAMETER HAVE BEEN RECEIVED AS THIS STORM MOVED ACROSS OTSEGO COUNTY. DESTRUCTIVE WIND AND HAIL...TORRENTIAL RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING WILL OCCUR WITH THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. SEEK SHELTER NOW. &
