IN SOUTHERNMOST VERMONT ...BENNINGTON AND WINDHAM COUNTIES DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN DURING THE LAST 24 HOURS IN SOUTHERNMOST VERMONT. A RAINFALL MAXIMUM OF CLOSE TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES EXTENDED FROM STAMFORD IN BENNINGTON COUNTY...NORTHEAST...TO WEST DOVER IN WINDHAM COUNTY. EARLY THIS MORNING...STATE POLICE REPORTED A FOOT OF WATER OVER ROUTE 67IN THE TOWN OF BENNINGTON. IN ADDITION...MORE SHOWERS WILL MOVE THROUGH THIS REGION THROUGH THIS MORNING...KEEPING MANY SMALL RIVERS AND STREAMS AT OR ABOVE BANKFUL. THEREFORE...THE FLOOD WARNINGS HAVE BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL 11 AM. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICL0E INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
