IN WEST CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA ...ROANE COUNTY AT 6:30 PM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHERN ROANE COUNTY. THIS STORM WILL MOVE TO NEAR THE TOWN OF WALLBACK BY 7:30 PM. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN... NORTHEASTERN KENTUCKY AND MUCH OF WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA UNTIL 800 PM... AT 225 PM...CHARLESTON DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHEASTERN OHIO EXTENDING FROM CHILLICOTHE TO PORTSMOUTH OHIO. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE FROM CHILLICOTHE TO WAKEFIELD. OTHER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING AHEAD OF THE MAIN AREA OF RAIN FROM ATHENS TO VINTON AND ACROSS EASTERN KENTUCKY. ALL OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT AROUND 20 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST WITH MOST OF THE RAIN REMAINING WEST OF THE OHIO RIVER THROUGH 400 PM. MOST OF WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA WILL REMAIN DRY THROUGH 400 PM. ANY OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL.
