IN WEST WEST VIRGINIA ...CABELL COUNTY AT 4:45 PM...DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR HUNTINGTON. THIS STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. THIS STORM WILL MOVE TO JUST NORTH OF MILTON BY 5:30 PM. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. NORTHEASTERN KENTUCKY AND MUCH OF WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA UNTIL 800 PM... AT 225 PM...CHARLESTON DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHEASTERN OHIO EXTENDING FROM CHILLICOTHE TO PORTSMOUTH OHIO. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE FROM CHILLICOTHE TO WAKEFIELD. OTHER SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING AHEAD OF THE MAIN AREA OF RAIN FROM ATHENS TO VINTON AND ACROSS EASTERN KENTUCKY. ALL OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT AROUND 20 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE NORTHEAST WITH MOST OF THE RAIN REMAINING WEST OF THE OHIO RIVER THROUGH 400 PM. MOST OF WESTERN WEST VIRGINIA WILL REMAIN DRY THROUGH 400 PM. ANY OF THESE STORMS MAY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL.
