THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW YORK HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  730 PM EDT
FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
 
   ...SOUTHERN ORANGE COUNTY
 
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING THROUGH NORTHERN ORANGE COUNTY AND
SHOULD ENTER SOUTNER SECTIONS OF THE COUNTY AROUND 640PM. LARGE HAIL HAS
BEEN REPORTED WITH THE STORM. AT 628 PM ONE AND A HALF INCH HAIL WAS
REPORTED AT BOTH MOUNT HOPE AND SLATE HILL IN NORTHERN ORANGE COUNTY.
THE STORM WILL MOVE INTO THE FLORIDA AND MONROE AREAS BETWEEN 645 AND
700 PM.
 
 
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
