IN EAST CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA ...SOUTHERN DUPLIN COUNTY AT 432 PM NEWPORT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR KENANSVILLE IN CENTRAL DUPLIN COUNTY. THIS STORM HAD RAPIDLY STRENGTHENED SINCE 425 PM. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL AFFECT THE TOWNS OF MAREADY AND CYPRESS CREEK BEFORE 5 PM. AT 428 PM DUPLIN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS FALLING IN KENANSVILLE. IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A STRONG BUILDING.
