IN WEST TEXAS ...DAWSON COUNTY AT 912 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 12 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF LAMESA. THIS STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. WINDS AHEAD OF THIS STORM WILL LIKELY BE OVER 50 MILES AN HOUR IN THE VICINITY AND PATRICIA. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS PART OF A LINE OF SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS... SOME WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL... AND SHOWERS THAT EXTENDED FROM WHITE FACE TO THE BIG BEND OF TEXAS. THUNDERSTORMS WITHIN THIS LINE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL WERE LOCATED JUST WEST BROWNFIELD AND ALSO FROM 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF PECOS TO 25 MILES SOUTH OF PECOS.
