FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 AM EDT
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTH INDIANA
 
   ...CLARK COUNTY...FLOYD COUNTY...HARRISON COUNTY
 
AT 300 AM EDT...NWS DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS ORIENTED ALONG AND JUST NORTH OF THE THE OHIO RIVER...
MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT UP TO TWO
INCHES OF RAINFALL HAS ALREADY OCCURRED OVER PARTS OF CLARK COUNTY
INDIANA...WITH UP TO AN INCH OF RAINFALL OVER HARRISON AND FLOYD
COUNTIES. ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT
THREE HOURS AS THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER ALREADY SATURATED
GROUND.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH WATER COVERED ROADWAYS.
