THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  330 AM EDT
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS ...
 
IN NORTH FLORIDA
 
   ...NASSAU COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJOINING COASTAL WATERS.
 
AT 235 AM EDT A TORNADO WAS REPORTED ON THE SOUTHERN END OF AMELIA
ISLAND. THE PARENT THUNDERSTORM STORM IS EMBEDDED IN A RAINBAND AND WILL
MOVE WEST-SOUTHWESTWARD INTO THE YULEE AREA BY 250 AM AND INTO THE
CALLAHAN AREA BY 3 AM. ADDITIONAL TORNADO TOUCHDOWNS ARE POSSIBLE WITH
THIS STORM.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET. INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
