SPRINGFIELD RADAR AT 207 PM SHOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING
EAST AT 30 MPH ACROSS COLES AND CUMBERLAND COUNTIES. THE STORMS EXTENDED
FROM 35 MILES SOUTH OF CHAMPAIGN TO 40 MILES SOUTHWEST OF TERRE HAUTE.
 
PEOPLE IN AND AROUND CHARLESTON...GREENUP...CASEY AND THE RURAL AREAS OF
EXTREME SOUTHERN EDGAR COUNTY SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH. THE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER
LINES. MOVE TO A STURDY BUILDING AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
