000 TTAA00 KICT 172310 SVRICT KSC099-133-180015- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WICHITA KS 609 PM CDT WED MAY 17 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS ...LABETTE COUNTY...NEOSHO COUNTY AT 607 PM...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM JUST NORTH OF CHERRYVALE TO NEAR COFFEYVILLE. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL MOVE INTO ALTAMONT AND ERIE BY 630 PM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SEEK A REINFORCED SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR HAIL TO THE SIZE OF GOLFBALL AND WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
