THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HANFORD HAS EXTENDED THE
FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 500 AM PST FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN  CALIFORNIA
 
   ...EASTERN MADERA COUNTY...MARIPOSA COUNTY
 
AT 250 AM PST...RAIN WAS STILL FALLING OVER THE EASTERN THIRD OF
MADERA COUNTY AND MUCH OF MARIPOSA COUNTY. THE SHERRIF'S OFFICES
IN BOTH COUNTIES REPORTED MANY RIVERS AND STREAMS BANKFULL WITH
SEVERAL ROADS EITHER CLOSED OR WASHED OUT DUE TO HIGH WATER.
 
ALTHOUGH THE STEADIEST RAIN IS ABOUT OVER...SOME RIVERS AND
STREAMS IN THE FOOTHILL REGION WILL CONTINUE TO RISE DURING THE
NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT ST8AY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
