000 WUUS1 KSAT 040348 RRA SVRSAT TXC187-493-040445- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 1043 PM CDT MON JUL 3 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...GUADALUPE COUNTY...WILSON COUNTY AT 1043 PM CDT...WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING THROUGH EASTERN BEXAR COUNTY INTO GUADALUPE AND WILSON COUNTIES. MOVEMENT WAS TOWARD THE EAST AT 30 MPH. WINDS IN BEXAR COUNTY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR TREE DAMAGE AS THE STORMS MOVED THROUGH SAN ANTONIO. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH. THESE WINDS BLOW DOWN TREES...POWER LINES...AND SEVERELY DAMAGE MOBILE HOMES... SOMETIMES BUILDINGS. VERY LARGE HAIL CAN INJURE ANYONE CAUGHT OUTSIDE. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT TO THE POSSIBILITY OF LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.
