SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM CDT (730 PM MDT)
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
 
   ...SOUTHEASTERN HAMILTON COUNTY
 
AT 740 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 9 MILES SOUTH
SOUTHEAST OF SYRACUSE MOVING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH. THIS
STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING ONE INCH DIAMETER HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS.
 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAVE BEEN MOVING OVER THE
SOUTHEAST PART OF HAMILTON COUNTY.  RAINFALL ESTIMATES IN THAT PART OF
THE COUNTY ARE AROUND 4 TO 5 INCHES WITH THIS STORM.  FLASH FLOODING IS
LIKELY ESPECIALLY IN LOW LYING AREAS.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
