SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS

AT 755 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LARGE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CENTERED NEAR
LAKIN AND A SECOND SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 13 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LAKIN. THE
THUNDERSTORM NEAR LAKIN WAS MOVING LITTLE...BUT THE STORM SOUTHWEST OF
LAKIN WAS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH. THE SOUTHWESTERN STORM
IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF GOLFBALLS. IT WILL PASS
OVER OPEN COUNTRY SOUTH OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER AND WILL APPROACH LAKIN BY
845 PM.
 
GOLFBALL-SIZED HAIL FELL IN LAKIN AT 728 PM.
 
TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WITH THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE LOCALIZED FLOODING.
