FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  445 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

AT 145 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR IN CLEVELAND
INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF RAIN WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH
TORRENTIAL RAIN COVERING MUCH OF THE SOUTHERN TWO-THIRDS OF OHIO.
THE RAIN WAS MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 20 MPH.
 
HEAVY RAIN WAS OVER CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN RICHLAND COUNTY AT 145 PM.
DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATED THAT ONE INCH OF RAIN HAD FALLEN BETWEEN
LEXINGTON AND MANSFIELD BETWEEN 1245 AND 145 PM...WITH 3 TO 5 INCHES IN
THE LAST 24 HOURS OVER MUCH OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST RICHLAND COUNTY.
 
STREAMS AND CREEKS WERE AT BANKFULL IN THESE AREAS DUE TO THIS RAIN AND
SOME ROAD FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED. WITH RAIN...HEAVY AT
TIMES...EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON FLOODING IS LIKELY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
