AT 545 PM...DOPPLER RADAR IN BROWNSVILLE INDICATED AN AREA OF INTENSE TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM EXTREME NORTHEASTERN ZAPATA COUNTY THROUGH NORTHERN JIM HOGG COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL PRODUCE TORRENTIAL RAINS...WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 40 MPH AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL ACROSS PORTIONS OF ZAPATA...JIM HOGG AND BROOKS COUNTIES DURING THE NEXT HOUR.
