THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE ACROSS CENTRAL NEW YORK EARLY THIS AFTERNOON AND SPREAD INTO WESTERN NEW ENGLAND BY LATE AFTERNOON. A FEW THUNDERSTORMS COULD BE SEVERE...PRODUCING STRONG WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH...AND LARGE HAIL. IF YOU/RE PLANNING ANY OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES TODAY...YOU SHOULD PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WEATHER. BE ALERT FOR THREATENING CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE QUICKLY. BOATERS SHOULD BE PARTICULARLY WATCHFUL. TAKE A PORTABLE RADIO ALONG WITH YOU SO THAT YOU CAN KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST FORECASTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL BRING WARM...HUMID AIR INTO THE REGION TODAY.
