000 TTAA00 KABQ 060335 SVRABQ NMC007-060430- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALBUQUERQUE NM 932 PM MDT FRI MAY 5 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE...... IN NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO ...COLFAX COUNTY AT 930 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF VERY STRONG THRUNDERSTORMS FROM 10 MILES WEST OF RATON TO NEAR CIMARRON. THE INDIVIDUAL STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 20 TO 25 MPH. AT 928 PM MDT...THE CIMARRON POLICE REPORTED PEA TO MARBLE SIZE HAIL WAS COVERING THE ROAD. THEY ALSO REPORTED VERY STRONG WINDS. FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL BE POSSIBLE AND MOTORIST SHOULD DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
