THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ALBUQUERQUE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  845 PM MDT
FOR PEOPLE......
 
IN NORTHEAST NEW MEXICO
 
   ...COLFAX COUNTY
 
AT 730 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS FROM 5 MILES WEST OF RATON TO NEAR CIMARRON.
THE INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT
20 TO 30 MPH.
 
AT 733 PM THE CIMARRON POLICE REPORTED HEAVY RAIN WITH PEA
TO DIME SIZE HAIL IN CIMARRON.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
