...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS OF THE TEXAS SOUTH
PLAINS...

AT 450 PM CDT LUBBOCK DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS
DEVELOPING RAPIDLY OVER MAINLY EASTERN COUNTIES OF THE SOUTH
PLAINS.

THE STORMS WITH THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL RATES WERE LOCATED OVER
FLOYD AND MOTLEY COUNTIES. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE
EAST ABOUT 10 TO 15 MPH.

OTHER STORMS WERE DEVLOPING OVER NEARBY PORTIONS OF THE
SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AS WELL AS NORTHERN PARTS OF THE
PERMIAN BASIN.

FREQUENT LIGHTNING...STRONG GUSTY WINDS...HAIL  AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL CAN ALL BE EXPECTED AS TvHE STORMS MOVE ACROSS THE
AREA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
