NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TOLEDO OH
228 PM EDT SAT JUL 2 1994

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR A SMALL PART OF NORTHWEST
OHIO...WYANDOT COUNTY...UNTIL 8 PM EDT.

AT 215 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR DETECTED A RAPIDLY
DEVELOPING LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS FORMING ALONG A COLD FRONT STRETCHING
FROM NORTHEAST OHIO...SOUTHWESTWARD TO THE LOWER PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
OHIO. THE STRONGEST STORMS IN OUR AREA WERE LOCATED 15 MILES SOUTHEAST
OF UPPER SANDUSKY IN WYANDOT COUNTY.

THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH. THESE
STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING GUSTY WINDS...BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND
DANGERO*US LIGHTNING.

SINCE THIS IS A HOLIDAY WEEKEND...MANY PEOPLE ARE SPENDING IT OUTSIDE
AT CAMPGROUNDS...RESORTS AND BACKYARDS. STAY TUNED TO THE NATIONAL
WEATHER SERVICE OR ANY OTHER MEDIA SOURCE FOR LATER STATEMENTS
