AT 2 PM MDT...WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE BIG BELT MOUNTAINS STRETCHING FROM SOUTHWEST LEWIS AND CLARK COUNTY SOUTHEAST INTO NORTHERN GALLATIN COUNTY. A SECOND CELL WAS LOCATED OVER THE CRAZY MOUNTAINS IN SOUTHWEST MEAGHER COUNTY. AT 140 PM MDT... A SPOTTER IN WINSTON...20 MILES SOUTHEAST OF HELENA IN NORTHERN BROADWATER COUNTY...REPORTED BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND PEA SIZE HAIL FROM THESE STORMS AS THEY MOVED THROUGH THE AREA. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTH AT NEARLY 25 MILES AN HOUR. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND MOVE THROUGH SOUTHWEST MONTANA THIS AFTERNOON.
