THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTH CENTRAL MONTANA
 
   ...BLAINE COUNTY...HILL COUNTY...LIBERTY COUNTY...TOOLE COUNTY
 
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS FOR BLAINE COUNTY HAS EXPIRED. HOWEVER
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINS...AND FLOODING OF
STREETS AND LOW LYING AREAS IS VERY LIKELY.
 
AT 8 PM MDT AN OBSERVER 7 MILES WEST OF HOGLIN REPORTED 60 MPH WINDS
AND HEAVY RAIN. FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED OVER U.S. HIGHWAY 2 NEAR
KREMLIN. THE TOWNS OF KREMLIN AND FRESNO...10 TO 15 MILES WEST OF
HAVRE...EARLIER REPORTED RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN WITH
THESE THUNDERSTORMS.
 
ALSO...A TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR BLAINE COUNTY AND MOST OF
EASTERN MONTANA UNTIL 11 PM MDT.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  IT'S
IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR
CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.  CAMPERS SHOULD
AVOID CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS DURING THREATENING RAINS.
