THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ELKINS HAS EXTENDED THE
FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS EFFECTIVE UNTIL  130 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN NORTH WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...PRESTON COUNTY
 
SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS REMAIN OUT OF THEIR BANKS ACROSS PRESTON
COUNTY. SEVERAL HIGHWAYS ARE REPORTED BLOCKED BY HIGH WATER FROM THE
STREAMS AND CREEKS. WEATHER RADAR INDICATES NO RAIN OVER THE
COUNTY...HOWEVER RUNOFF FROM THE PREVIOUS RAINS AND SNOWMELT WILL
CONTINUE TO CAUSE SMALL STREAM FLOODING FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
