WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED ACROSS THE NORTHEAST PIEDMONT...THE SANDHILLS...AND THE COASTAL PLAIN. THE STRONGEST STORMS WERE LOCATED IN FRNAKLIN COUNTY...AND IN NORTHERN WAKE COUNTY. LARGE HAIL HAS BEEN REPORTED IN NORTH RALEIGH.
