...SNOW ADVISORY FOR THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS ABOVE 6500 FEET TODAY...

DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS RAIN CHANGED TO SNOW AT THE SOUTH RIM
OF THE GRAND CANYON. AT 4 AM IT HAD TEMPORARILY STOPPED...BUT IN THE
PREVIOUS TWO AND A HALF HOURS 7 INCHES OF HEAVY WET SNOW ACCUMULATED.

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW AT MOST LOCATIONS ABOVE 6500 FEET THIS
MORNING. AND ACCUMULATIONS OF UP TO 6 INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER TOTALS...BEFORE ENDING THIS EVENING.

AS A RESULT DRIVING INTO THE MOUNTAINS TODAY WILL BE HAZARDOUS.
MOTORISTS WILL NEED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO
REACH THEIR DESTINATION.
