FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 AM MST FOR THE FOLLOWING
ARIZONA LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL ARIZONA

IN NORTHWEST ARIZONA

HEAVY RAINS...TO OVER 2 INCHES...HAVE FALLEN IN THE WARNING AREA. AND AT
4 AM IT WAS STILL RAINING HARD AT MANY LOCATIONS. SOME WASHES AND SMALL
STREAMS HAVE ALREADY OVERFLOWED...AND MORE WILL FOLLOW. IN ADDITION
URBAN FLOODING HAS BEEN NOTED IN AND AROUND KINGMAN AND GLOBE.
 
FLASH FLOODING IS ALREADY HAPPENING OR ABOUT TO HAPPEN. MOVE AWAY
FROM STREAMS OR WASHES. HEAD FOR HIGHER GROUND. ON THE HIGHWAY...SLOW
DOWN AND KEEP A SHARP LOOKOUT AHEAD FOR FLOODING.
 
FLASH FLOODING IS MOST DANGEROUS IN THE MOUNTAINS...ALONG STREAMS...AND
IN NARROW STEEP WALLED CANYONS. MANY DEATHS HAVE RESULTED WHEN MOTORISTS
TRIED TO OUTRACE A FLOOD IN THESE CANYONS. CLIMB TO SAFETY IF A FLOOD
DEVELOPS.
 
MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DONT TRY TO CROSS
FLOODING WASHES OR STREAMS. NEVER DRIVE ONTO A BRIDGE COVERED BY
WATER. STAY OFF FLOODED CITY STREETS. OUTSIDE THE CITY...STAY ON MAIN
HIGHWAYS. AVOID SECONDARY ROADS AND FARM ROADS...ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT.
