AT 1030 PM CDT...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HAIL...WIND GUSTS TO 50 MILES AN HOUR...AND HEAVY RAIN WERE MOVING ACROSS CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. THE STORMS WERE WITHIN A 40 TO 70 MILE WIDE AREA EXTENDING FROM CONCORDIA SOUTH THROUGH MCPHERSON AND WICHITA...AND ON ACROSS THE OKLAHOMA BORDER JUST WEST OF ARKANSAS CITY.
