942 PM CDT TUE JUL 13 1993

...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE DOTTED ALONG THE ARKANSAS RIVER FROM LAKIN
EAST TO GARDEN CITY TO NEAR CIMARRON...

AT 935 PM CDT...RADAR SHOWED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINS ALONG
AND EITHER SIDE OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER FROM LAKIN EASTWARD THROUGH
DEERFIELD TO HOLCOMB AND FROM AROUND PIERCEVILLE TO CIMARRON.  THE
STORMS WERE SHOWING A VERY SLOW EASTERLY DRIFT OF ONLY AROUND 5 MILES AN
HOUR.  RESIDENTS ALONG THE ARKANSAS VALLEY IN THESE AREAS CAN EXPECT
PERIODS OF HEAVY...OCCASIONALLY TORRENTIAL RAIN THROUGH 1035 PM CDT.

THESE STORMS ARE LIKELY PRODUCING STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS...DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL.  OUTFLOW WINDS FROM THE STORMS
COULD OCCASIONALLY GUST TO AS HIGH AS 50 MILES AN HOUR.  LOCAL FLOODING
OF CREEKS AND STREAMS IS LIKELY...ALONG WITH STREET FLOODING IN URBAN
AREAS OF LAKIN...DEERFIELD...HOLCOMB...GARDEN CITY AND CIMARRON.

MANY DITCHES ALONG COUNTY ROADS ARE APT TO HAVE WATER TO NEAR THE
ROADSIDE AND A FEW LOCATIONS MIGHT SEE WATER BRIEFLY ACROSS THE ROAD.
DIRT ROADS IN MANY AREAS ARE GOING TO BE WASHED OUT AND COMPLETELY
IMPASSABLE.
