THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      BARTON

AT 115 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR 25 MILES
 NORTH OF JOPLIN. THIS STORM WAS INCREASING RAPIDLY IN INTENSITY
AS IT MOVED TO THE EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR.

THE CITY OF LAMAR IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE FOR
DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE eOUTSIDE
SHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.  ONCE
