THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1200 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA
      ALLEGHANY

AT 915 PM FLOODING WAS REPORTED ALONG THE SOUTH FORK OF THE NEW
RIVER ALONG THE WEST EDGE OF ALLEGHANY COUNTY. SHERIFF DEPARTMENT
REPORTED A BRIDGE UNDER WATER AT RIVER CAMP USA AND ANOTHER SOON
TO BE UNDER WATER AT FARMERS FISH CAMP.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION TO PROTECT
LIFE AND PROPERTY.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
REMEMBER..MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
