THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BECKLEY WV HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING                  EFFECTIVE UNTIL  915 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA
 
   ...EASTERN GREENBRIER COUNTY
 
AT 540 PM EDT OBSERVERS REPORTED THAT WATER IN NORTH FORK AND ANTHONY
CREEK IN NORTHEAST GREENBRIER COUNTY WAS APPROACHING BANKFUL. WEATHER
RADAR AT BECKLEY INDICATED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN THROUGH MOST OF
GREENBRIER COUNTY. RAINFALL IN THIS AREA WILL CONTINUE TO BE HEAVY AT
TIMES FOR THE NEXT HOUR CAUSING THESE STREAMS TO OVERFLOW THEIR BANKS.
THIS WATER WILL FLOW INTO THE GREENBRIER RIVER AND CAUSE MODERATE
RISES FOR THE SEVERAL HOURS.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
