AT 640 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NEWARK TO CIRCLEVILLE TO 30 MILES
WEST OF CHILLICOTHE. ALL THE PRECIPITATION WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30
MILES AN HOUR AND WILL MOVE THROUGH LICKING...FAIRFIELD AND ROSS
COUNTIES BY 8 PM.
 
THESE STORMS PRODUCED AN INCH OF RAIN IN FRANKLIN COUNTY BETWEEN 530
AND 615 PM. AN OBSERVER IN NEWARK ALSO REPORTED AROUND AN INCH OF RAIN
IN LESS THAN AN HOUR.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
