000 TTAA00 KMAF 222138 TORMAF TXC389-222245- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND TX 437 PM CDT FRI MAY 22 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MIDLAND HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS ...REEVES COUNTY AT 434 PM CDT...THE SHERIFFS OFFICE IN REEVES COUNTY REPORTED A TORNADO ON THE GROUND BETWEEN TOYAH AND PECOS. MOVEMENT OF THIS STORM WAS TOWARD THE EAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. PEOPLE IN PECOS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TO THE RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH THIS STORM AND BE PREPARED TO ACT QUICKLY IF A TORNADO THREATENS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AVOID WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT. IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT...SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.
