LOUISIANA...

RADAR SHOWED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN...
FROM SOUTH OF ALEXANDRIA EXTENDING ACROSS PARTS OF AVOYELLES...
CATAHOULA AND CONCORDIA PARISHES.  THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE
SHOWN FROM NEAR VICK IN AVOYELLES PARISH TO FERRIDAY AND VIDALIA.
MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 35 MPH.

PEOPLE IN THE AFFECTED PARISHES CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS...VERY
HEAVY RAIN WITH FLOODING OF STREETS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS...
DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL

AT 915 AM CST WEATHER SERVICE RADAR SHOWED A LINE OF NUMEROUS
THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM MCCOMB MISSISSIPPI TO BATON ROUGE.
THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED NUMEROUS REPORTS OF GOLFBALL SIZE HAIL
IN WEST FELICIANA AND POINT COUPEE PARISHES EARLIER THIS MORNING.

RADAR CONTINUES SHOW MORE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING JUST TO THE WEST OF
BATON ROUGE. IT IS LIKELY THAT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS MAY BE
NEEDED FOR TANGIPAHOA...WASHINGTON AND ST TAMMANY PARISHES WITHIN THE
NEXT ONE TO TWO HOURS.
