RADAR SHOWED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN... FROM SOUTH OF ALEXANDRIA EXTENDING ACROSS PARTS OF AVOYELLES... CATAHOULA AND CONCORDIA PARISHES. THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WERE SHOWN FROM NEAR VICK IN AVOYELLES PARISH TO FERRIDAY AND VIDALIA. MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 35 MPH. PEOPLE IN THE AFFECTED PARISHES CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS...VERY HEAVY RAIN WITH FLOODING OF STREETS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS... DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL HOURS.
