THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      CENTRAL CHERRY

AT 613 PM MDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM EXTENDED FROM 36 MILES SOUTH TO
51 MILES SOUTH OF MERRIMAN.  THE STORM WAS 65 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
VALENTINE IN SOUTHWESTERN CHERRY COUNTY.

THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 TO 35 MPH.

PREPARE FOR LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND...HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING BY TAKING COVER.  STeAY AWAY FROM AREAS WHERE LOOSE ITEMS
CAN BECOME DANGEROUS FLYING DEBRIS.

A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.
