THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      NORTHERN ANTELOPE...NORTHERN PIERCE

AT 1000 PM CDT RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
FROM 5 MILES WEST OF BRUNSWICK EAST TO 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF
OSMOND...OR FROM 30 TO 40 MILES NORTH THROUGH NORTHWEST OF
NORFOLK.  THE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH TOWARD BRUNSWICK
AND OSMOND.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND
VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.
REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH

AT 420 PM CDT...RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY
RAIN FROM HAIGLER TO THEDFORD...OR FROM 85 MILES SOUTHWEST TO 50 MILES
NORTH OF NORTH PLATTE.  THE STRONGEST STORM WAS LOCATED 15 MILES
SOUTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE.  A SECOND STRONG STORM WAS LOCATED 35 MILES
WEST OF NORTH PLATTE NEAR PAXTON.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

THIS AREA OF STORMS WILL BE MOVING THROUGH KEITH...LINCOLN...PERKINS
...CHASE...DUNDY...HAYES...MCPHERSON AND THOMAS COUNTIES DURING THE

AT 945 PM CDT...EXTREMELY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED ACROSS PORTIONS
OF SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA.  THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
IN A 30 MILE WIDE FROM 10 MILES SOUTH OF BROKEN BOW TO 15 MILES SOUTH OF
NORTH PLATTE TO 15 MILES EAST OF GRANT. BROKEN BOW AND GRANT ARE 50 MILES
EAST NORTHEAST AND 50 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF NORTH PLATTE RESPECTIVELY.

THE STRONGEST THUNDERSTORM WAS 5 MILES NORTHEAST OF WELLFEET OR 20 MILES
SOUTH OF NORTH PLATTE. THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE VERY HEAVY
RAIN..SMALL HAIL..GUSTY WINDS AS IT MOVES EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.

BRIEF PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS MAY ACCOMPANY THE OTHER
THUNDERSTORMS. IN ADDITION..FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING WAS
ACCOMPANYING THE STORMS.
