000 TTAA00 KJAX 301958 TORJAX FLC019-031-302045- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSONVILLE FL 352 PM EDT THU JUL 30 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSONVILLE FL HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM EDT IN NORTHEAST FLORIDA ...CLAY COUNTY...DUVAL COUNTY AND ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF NORTHEAST FLORIDA AT 355 PM EDT RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO IN CLAY COUNTY ALONG THE ST JOHNS RIVER NORTH OF GREEN COVE SPRINGS. DURING THE PAST HOUR FUNNEL CLOUDS HAVE BEEN REPORTED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF JACKSONVILLE ...NEAR THE DAMES POINT BRIDGE...MONUMENT AND ST JOHNS BLUFF ROAD AND AT BLOUNT ISLAND. THE RADAR INDICATES THE ACTIVITY IS MOVING TO THE EAST AT 15 MPH. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED BUILDING. DURING THE PAST HOUR REPORTS HAVE BE RECIEVED OF ESTIMATED WIND GUST TO 40 MPH IN THE INTERLACHEN AREA. THE THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT 15 MPH. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING INTO THE PALATKA AREA AND SOUTHERN ST JOHNS COUNTY DURING THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS. THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY STRONG GUSTY WIND...HEAVY RAIN...FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES AND POSSIBLY SMALL HAIL.
