THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  845 AM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION......

IN NORTH DELAWARE

   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLOOD WARNING FOR THE
CHRISTINA RIVER AT COOCHS BRIDGE.

HEAVY RAIN BEFORE MIDNIGHT AND EARLY THIS MORNING OF MORE THAN ONE AND A
HALF INCHES HAS CAUSED SOME STREET FLOODING ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE
COUNTY AND ON THE CHRISTINA RIVER AT COOCHS BRIDGE WHICH HAS A FLOOD
STAGE OF 9.0 FEET.  AT 4 AM THE THE RIVER HAD RISEN TO 11 FEET.

IF YOU ARE IN THE WARNED COUNTY IN AN AREA SUBJECT TO FLOODING MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER
COVERS THE ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR
TO CROSS SAFELY.  VEJHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
