THUNDERSTORMS...SOME SEVERE...WERE OVER SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE PART OF A LARGE AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDESTORMS THAT COVERED MUCH OF CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THE STRONGEST WERE FROM BROKEN BOW TO NORTH PLATTE...WITH THE STRONGEST AT NORTH PLATTE. THE AREA OF PRECIPITATION WAS IN AN AREA 70 MILES WIDE...WEST OF A LINE FROM THE SOUTH DAKOTA STATELINE 40 MILES NORTHEAST OF ONEILL TO 35 MILES NORTH OF GRAND ISLAND TO HOLDREGE. = THE STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARDS THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH...INCREASING IN INTENSITY. VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST THROUGH SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THE INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED IN A LINE THAT EXTENDED FROM ABOUT 15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF NORFOLK TO WOLBACH TO NEAR ROCKVILLE TO ELM CREEK. THUNDERSTORM WINDS OF 65 MILES AND HOUR WAS REPORTED AT AMHERST IN WESTERN BUFFALO COUNTY. ALSO TORNADOS WERE REPORTED IN THE WOLBACH AREA. THE LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE INTO THE GRAND ISLAND VICINITY BY 1 30 AM CDT THIS TUESDAY MORNING. STOKES
