THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FARGO HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  700 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHEAST NORTH DAKOTA
 
   ...CITY OF GRAND FORKS...GRAND FORKS COUNTY
   ...WALSH COUNTY
 
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE PARK RIVER AND EDINBURG AREAS.
 
AT 610 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 TO 15 MILES NORTH
OF PARK RIVER MOVING SOUTH-SOUTHEAST AT 45 MILES AN HOUR.  THIS
THUNDERSTORM HAD PRODUCED A TORNAO IN PEMBINA COUNTY BUT HAS WEAKENED
CONSIDERABLY AND IS NO LONGER PRODUCING A TORNADO.  HOWEVER...THIS STORM
LIKELY CONTAINS LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS.
 
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES
WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING.  REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
