000 TTAA00 KAUS 122216 SVRAUS TXC453-491-122315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX 514 PM CDT TUE MAY 12 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...TRAVIS COUNTY...WILLIAMSON COUNTY AT 513 PM...RADAR SHOWED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 10 MILES SOUTH OF GEORGETOWN TO WEST OF AUSTIN TO NEAR OAK HILL. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. THESE STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF 1/2 INCH TO GOLFBALL SIZED HAIL. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDER1STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
