000 TTAA00 KAUS 122124 SVRAUS TXC453-491-122215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN TX 422 PM CDT TUE MAY 12 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...TRAVIS COUNTY...WILLIAMSON COUNTY AT 420 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES SOUHTWEST OF GEORGETOWN....AND ANOTHER OVER LAKE TRAVIS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. PERSONS IN ROUND ROCK AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF AUSTIN ARE NEAR THE PATH OF THIS STORM AND SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.
