000 TTAA00 KDDC 140132 TORDDC KSC187-140230- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS 831 PM CDT SAT JUN 13 1992 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DODGE CITY HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ...WESTERN STANTON COUNTY AT 827 PM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 5 TO 10 MILES WEST OF SAUNDERS IN EXTREME EASTERN COLORADO...OR ABOUT 45 MILES WEST OF ULYSSES. THE TORNADOES ASSOCIATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT ABOUT 15 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE MOVING INTO WESTERN STANTON COUNTY BY 845 PM. PERSONS IN SAUNDERS AND MANTER SHOULD BE TAKE TORNADO PRECAUTIONS. THIS STORM WILL ALSO PRODUCE VERY LARGE HAIL...HIGH WIND AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL ACROSS WESTERN STANTON COUNTY. PERSONS IN JOHNSON ARE NOT IN IMMEDIATE DANGER...BUT SHOULD BE ON A CLOSE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING WEATHER. HUTTON THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS STORM. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE... GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AVOID WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A STURD"IER BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED BUILDING.
