A WEATHER OBSERVER JUST NORTH OF PICAYUNE MISSISSIPPI REPORTED HE HAD
RECEIVED 6 INCHES OF RAINFALL TO 945 PM THIS EVENING.
 
AT 950 PM THE PICAYUNE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTED LOTS OF STREET
FLOODING IN PICAYUNE.
 
AT 1000 PM MOBILE RADAR INDICATED A DIMINISHING AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS
WITH HEAVY RAINFALL COVERING MUCH OF PEARL RIVER COUNTY MISSISSIPPI.
RAINFALL IS DECREASING IN THE AREA BUT THE THREAT OF RUNOFF
DOWN-STREAM WILL CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT TWO HOURS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
